Shared Dickerson 41' in BVI

There are several 4 week ownership shares available in On Eagles' Wings, a Dickerson 41' Ketch that is professionally maintained and kept year round in Tortola, BVI. The one time purchase price for a 4 week share is $10,000, and annual expenses run $4,000-$6,000. This is a chance to sail a classic ketch in a beautiful cruising area at a fraction of the cost of a charter. Please check our website: Fractional Sailboat in BVI -On Eagles' Wings-

Re: Shared Dickerson 41' in BVI

Hi: Not sure I understand your comment. Yes, the annual upkeep has averaged about $30,000 (including all operating expenses and major repairs, etc). What is attractive to all of us is that we split that cost, so someone with a 4 week share pays $4-6,000 per year for their month in the BVI. Works for us!

Annual expenses for each shareholder of $4000-$6000 annually. 12 4-week shares. If my math works that is $48,000-$72,000 annually for upkeep. That is pretty healthy for a boat not going through a refit.

Maybe that is standard in the yacht-share business. This is just the first time I've ever seen the numbers in print.

Re: Shared Dickerson 41' in BVI

The budget is based on $30,000 split by 6 co-owners using the boat for the 24 prime weeks of the year. If we have more co-owners using the boat for additional weeks the cost per week will decline. It does NOT cost $48-72,000 a year to keep a boat in the BVI.
