DockMarket.net is a classified listing site that allows slips to be marked precisely on satellite-based maps so renters can see exactly what they might be renting. Until July 20th, listings are free.

There's not much posted yet since the site launched yesterday, but I hope it will become a useful tool for cruisers in the near future. If you have a slip for lease or sale or know of someone who does, now is a good time to secure your free one-year listing.

This might be a dumb question, but can't you locate them on Google Earth?

Yes, you can find any slip in Google Earth given the coordinates without requiring DockMarket. However, before this site, there wasn't any "visual search engine" just for slip listings. I created the site because existing dockage classified sites either don't to any real mapping or they show a generic map of the nearest address.

The site actually uses Google Maps to do the locations. You can also browse DockMarket listings using Google Earth.
