Misc. Cruising Gear (MaxProp, RD180 Radar, Liferaft)

I'm trying to "lighten the boat" a bit, and have a number of items I will be selling. I plan to take photos of each, so please let me know if you're interested:

*6 Person ISR-SR Valise Life Raft: DSB SN 70840, purchased and inspected 10/07, was due for recert. 10/10; never used, thankfully--$500 or B.O. (note: will deliver to New England buyers only, can't ship this)

*Raymarine RD180 (18" Analog Radar with 10 M. cable), 2 y/o (approx. 50 hrs use) works great with "classic" Raymarine chartplotters, last used April 2013. I had to replace my C120, so needed HD radar for new C125. Asking $400

*Forespar Nova Lift, for hoisting outboard to transom. 220 lb. capacity. $150

*MaxProp folding prop, not sure of model #, was used on Freedom 40. Has been emoved, and will need PYI to recondition ($1000 range?), as Miami shop messed it up when balancing: Asking $500, as is. (I will refund $ if PYI est. too high-your chance to get a reconditioned MaxProp for a small investment...)

Re: Misc. Cruising Gear (MaxProp, RD180 Radar, Liferaft)

Hey man, I'm interested in the radar. What's it's range, and will it slay my battery? Does it have a loud alarm so I can avoid collisions like 5 miles away when I'm "closing my eyes for a second" singlehanding?!

Thanks for your honesty / more info.

Re: Misc. Cruising Gear (MaxProp, RD180 Radar, Liferaft)

Sorry for not replying, NOMN, I have not been near a computer in a few days. As to the radar, it has a theoretical range of 24 miles, but I usually only trust it to a 12 mile range. Not sure about the battery drain, it is probably drawing 5-10 amps, when it's active. It can be set with alarms, but most of that is dependent on the chartplotter capabilities, as this radar does not have a screen, since it is intended for use with networked system. Hope that helps?

EStop,

The Max-Prop is three bladed, with a 1 & 1/8" shaft aperture.

I'm afraid I'm not sure of the prop. dia., It was set up for my Freedom 40', (about 26,000 Lbs), and I am now using a 20" fixed prop. Don't know if that helps, I asttached a photo of the disassembled prop, (yellow is remains of "SpeedKote" finish).

I don't think that GPS can be networked with a radar.

Re: Misc. Cruising Gear (MaxProp, RD180 Radar, Liferaft)

Correction: The davit for sale at $150 is the Forespar "Motor Mate", suitable for up to 100 pounds, not the Nova Lift as previously stated.

The Motor Mate retails for $413, and includes the rail mounts and base, and a vinyl bag. All you need is a dog harness to lift a small outboard.
