This is the gear we removed from our project or it is surplus gear that we know we no longer need. Remember it is in AUD Aussie dollars, that makes it a bargain for those with US dollars !

LIFERAFT – RFD 6 PERSON “SOLAS SURVIVOR” $180


The raft is in a sturdy fibreglass pod with the original CO2 gas cylinder. It is probably too old for testing and best suited for practise or other purposes.


RADAR REFLECTOR $100 SYDNEY


12.5"dia anodised alloy, made by Davis Marine, model is Echomaster #153 delux.
New, never used, come with instructions, 6 point harness for hoisting into position and a heavy duty vinal carry case. It packs flat and takes up little room. Appears as 11mt squared in section in x band or 3cm band radar. Results of testing: Radar Reflector 2 Radar Reflector 4


STAINLESS POOL LADDER $50


A large all stainless ladder dsigned for high chlorine environments. It is much wider than boat ladders and has good non slip steps that are much more comfortable to use with bare feet. It is quite tall and could be cut shorter to suit more applications.


ANCHOR – FLOOK $30


http://www.dulhunty.com/flook1.htm When launched into the water from a boat it automatically takes off and flies out through the water at a glide angle of 5 metres across for every 1 metre down until it lands on the seabed. A trail of bubbles indicates its flight path and its final resting place. It is directionally accurate to within a few degrees. A quick rearward jerk on the line opens its unique differential pantograph and drives the flukes into the sand or mud.


PORTABLE TOILET – WITH REMOVABLE HOLDING TANK $60 SYDNEY


This is a portable toilet with a broad base and a large removable tank it is much stronger, stable and better made than your usual off the shelf porta potty. We do not know the brand, it is not marked on it, but we have not seen one of these before. It has stainless valves, etc. It is clean and ready for the AllBran challenge !


STAINLESS FRAME FOR BRACING CREW AT MAST $55 SYDNEY


This is a SS frame that was on our vessel and was for the crew to lean against while working the halyards at the mast. We have run the halyards to the cockpit now so it is not as necessary for our boat. It is all welded 316 SS and has attachment loops for parking the halyards against so they are away from the mast and do not flap and rattle !


PROPELLER SHAFT 1.5” STAINLESS STEEL – WITH GLAND AND STERNTUBE $290 SYDNEY


A heavy duty SS shaft and associated gear in Very good condition. The shaft is ? long x 1.5” dia. There is a SS stern tube, packing gland, bellows and a crown SS nut for the prop end. The shaft is tapered with a keyway at the propeller end (no propeller included).


STAINLESS DODGER FRAME $120 SYDNEY


All stainless frame with a hinged secondary hoop attached, approx 1780 mm wide at the base & 850mm high. Suit small to medium size yachts, could be easily modified (bent) slightly to fit near sizes. It is in Very Good Condition.


DECK WINCHES - PAIR - ALLOY $150 pair SYDNEY


These Sea Fast No2A single speed 1:1 alloy rope winches came off our E26 several years ago. They are in good condition, there is slight wear of the alloy ribs on the winch drums from rope wear. They have been stripped checked and greased with new grease. Weight 3150 gms each. Dimensions: length 520mm (inc handle), base width 150mm, drum circumference 200mm (narrowest). The handles can be easily removed for posting.


ANTIQUE WOODEN PUMP FOR INFLATABLE BOATS $25 SYDNEY


The RFD pump came out of a Life Raft kit, so it was made to last. Timber both sides with rubberized bellows (hypalon perhaps) and a rubber hose. It works, but some air escapes from the intake when you pump (seems to needs backpressure to better close the valve). Unique piece for the collector or Timber boat enthusiast !1370 gms.


MARINER 8HP LONG SHAFT OUTBOARD $380 SYDNEY


Long shaft outboard, runs well, plenty of power. Very easy to start. The gear shift lever needs some tinkering. Has a new impeller in the water pump. Has not been used in salt water, was used in the freshwater lakes in the Snowy and Canberra regions.


OMC FORWARD CONTROL UNIT - LARGE $90 SYDNEY


We got this for our sailing yacht but control units for yachts are different so we can not use them. Also willing to swap for a single lever morse control unit for a yacht. Not having used them we can not tell you the faults if any, they look sound but have obviously been used a lot. There is a key for the ignition switch, choke, tilt, forward / reverse, and some other things we are not sure about. There are some gear & speed control lines, they work but these are in poor condition, they will be thrown in if you want them. Weight controls 3710 gms, morse cables 1400, elect xtn cable 1170 gms.


MOONLIGHT ALLOY FRAMED PORTLIGHT / WINDOW - NEW $100 SYDNEY


A new Moonlight brand fixed window (non opening). Made by BSI Denmark. Rectangular shape though the tilt on the camera makes them look tapered. There is another unit for sale that is similar in size but is not identical in style. The frames are alloy (clear anodised) and the glazing is very thick acrylic (portlights are designed for high water impact locations like topsides). This unit screws directly into the wall from the outside. The approximate dimensions for this unit is: external 430 x 260mm, visible glazing 360 x 193mm, hole size for wall 400 x 230mm. Weight 1955 gms.


MOONLIGHT ALLOY FRAMED PORTLIGHT / WINDOW - NEW $100 SYDNEY


A new Moonlight brand fixed window (non opening). Made by BSI Denmark. Rectangular shape though the tilt on the camera makes them look tapered. There is another unit for sale that is similar in size but is not identical in style. The frames are alloy (clear anodised) and the glazing is very thick acrylic (portlights are designed for high water impact locations like topsides). This unit has a internal alloy ring that trims the inside and helps hold the unit into the wall or deck without having external screws. The approximate dimensions for this unit is: external 422 x 252mm, visible glazing 340 x 170mm, hole size for wall 383 x 213mm. Weight 2970 gms.


MANUAL ANCHOR WINCH - LEWMAR S-L HYSPEED 510 $450 SYDNEY


Simpson Lawrence / Lewmar, 3" rope drum & chain gypsy. In Very Good condition, the 5/16" short link chain gypsy looks hardly used. The unit is oil filled to ensure a long service life and efficiency under heavy loadings. Comes with new spare parts for cruising away from suppliers (these spare parts are expensive extras).


FISHING NET FLOATS $30 SYDNEY


Three orange plastic floats as per the photo, they are about 10" in dia. Why don't you clutter up your garage with them instead of ours ! Swap for something useful. Money will also do.


DECK WINCH - XTRA LARGE – 2 SPEED FRANCIS $350 SYDNEY


This is a beauty, it is a huge 2 speed deck winch (for rope). You would need to have a big yacht to even consider this one > 45'. It is of chromed brass or bronze, works well and is built to last several lifetimes. It is Australian made, comes with a matching heavy Francis winch handle. The winch is in very good overall condition, even the chroming is good considering it's age, only thinned out on the lower flange of the drum, the knurling on the drum is in excellent condition. The gears inside do not show signs of wear. Winch weight is 20kg, the handle is 1.4kg. For Postage would have to separate due to 20kg maximum with Aust Post. Dimensions, base dia 245mm, top dia 200mm, drum dia 120mm, height drum 180mm, height complete 220mm. They do not make them like this any more.


TIMBER BELTING FOR TOPSIDES $30 SYDNEY


Obviously a good marine timber as it stood the test of time on our yacht before we discarded the belting alltogether. It is a U profile so that fasteners can fit underneath out of sight. Could be used on any type of hull. 54mm wide and 33mm deep. In good condition with regular screw holes where it was fastened. The lengths are 3430mm, 3100mm 4000mm 4300mm.


WIRE HALYARD WINCH $150 SYDNEY


Cheoy Lee - Number 12. In excellent condition made of chromed brass. It has few signs of wear and the bearings, cogs and paws inside are all in great condition. It is a wire halyard winch and is not practical for ropes unless you are using thin spectra types as a substitute for wire.


MARINE BBQ – FORCE 10 $60 SYDNEY


Runs with propane gas or briquettes. Made in Canada by Force 10 from Stainless Steel. It is all there except for the clips that mount on the hand rail (simple to make).


HOLDING TANK LEVEL DETECTOR $55


WEMA SHF-3 Holding Tank sniffer unit to send tank level info to a gauge, display or alarm so you know the tank is filling up and needs emptying before it is to late ! This unit is 12" long and fits most good sized holding tanks. Look at a photo to see what they look like. Brand NEW still in the box. Comes with special flange, gasket & screws for installation. Instructions in the box.Retails for $105.


HOLDING TANK ODOUR FILTER $55


Marsan odour filter, made in Australia. Premium filter for holding tank systems, replacable cartridge, 1" BSP ends with 1" hose connector/adaptors, can easily be fitted to other hose sizes with adaptors. Brand NEW, still in the box with fittings, instructions, etc. Approx 50mm diameter and about 300mm long in the body. Retails for


BIRD BUNTING FLAGS $1.70 per meter - minimum 10mt.


The best quality of plastic bunting flags, like they use in car sales yards (will last a long time in high UV conditions). It is a mixture of red and white coloured flags on a strong reinforced tape. Great for keeping seagulls off your clean deck ! This is new bunting, we bought it in bulk to get enough for our boat and for some friends.


BRASS VENT OPENINGS FOR INSIDE CABINS - ADJUSTABLE $20 each. $70 for all 4.


There are 4 of the these brass adjustable vent covers/openings. The screw on teh inside lining of the cabin and then you can adjust the flow of air throught the vent. Look at a photo to see what they look like. They are quite old and very solidly made, ideal for someone restoring an old boat or who like brass fittings. Used, but in excellent condition and some nee more of a polish than others.

I am currently in Cooma (with the books) but will be back in Sydney mid next week, about the 29th Oct. We have not seen the ocean in 5mths !!!! But, the skiing was good this year.
