Looking for a Valiant 40/42

I'm looking for a Valiant 40/42 for sale. I prefer the vintage between 1983-2000 or so. I'm in the SFO bay area and seriously searching for a well maintained Valiant. Thanks for any leads or offers!

Hi - since you are asking for any lead - I will assume that you do not know about Yacht World. Here are the results of a quick search:

We have friends selling theirs. It's in yacht world, in Port Aransa, TX. It's a nice boat.

Re: Looking for a Valiant 40/42

Thanks All!

Thanks for the support!

I search YW, sailboatlistings.com daily as primary sites for online leads. I must admit I'm kinda picky as to what region boats are being old in. Also, I am not in a rush to just grab any V40 but, I can move quickly on a well found boat that is in my price range. On any boat my personal buying rules are to visit the vessel and if she has good bones go to survey if she passes then sail her and all the rest. That is harder in some parts of the country than others especially this time of year.

Re: Looking for a Valiant 40/42

It's been two years since I've been in Alameda in the Bay Area, but when I was there the yacht broker that used the Grand Marina docks often had several Valiant 40's or 42's for sale. It looked to me like they specialized in them. I would often walk by to see how Valiants were equipped. Good luck.

Annie- Do you happen to know the name of the yacht sales company at Grand Marina?

No,I don't, and I'm cruising in Mexico now so I can't check for you. But, the Valiants were located right next to the Grand Marina office building on the waterside down the ramp on the right as one faces the office.
