Re: EDSON PEDeSTAL

Looking for a pedestal to fit my 30 footer. Decent shape, does not need cables or wheel just a working pedestal with all its internals.

Re: EDSON PEDeSTAL

I am also looking for an Edson pedestal complete with the stainless or aluminum binnacle compass mount. My old Yacht Specialties is disintegrating at the base. Are the under the deck pulleys and cables the same? If I could just change out the stuff above the deck that would be easiest. I would need the throttle and gear changer to be separate controls. My boat is an 85 Hunter 34 Thanks

Re: EDSON PEDeSTAL

As I pressed send it occurred to me that you probably live near bacon sails and was not referring to the web site! My apologies. I am on the other side of the continent so cannot see the back room. Maybe I'll drop them a note. Thanks, Ian

No problem. I had my hands on it last week. It had a 36 inch wheel I think it was 900 complete

I have a complet Yacht Specialties pedestal steering system that I recently pulled off the boat in the conversion to tiller steering. Was installed in 1989 when the boat was built. Seems to be in good shape. The paint did bubble off at the base but was I repainted it a few years ago.
