Dockrell 27 (1987): Sturdy English Cruiser with Cutter Rig, Completely Stocked Anchored Off Miami Beach.

The Dockrell 27 was designed by Ian Anderson and built throughout the 70s and 80's by Dockrell Yachts of Tavistock. This is a solid blue-water fibreglass boat with an excellent reputation for safety and would be an ideal boat to live-aboard or explore the Caribbean and beyond. The unique British design with a full winged keel and only a 3 foot draft is perfect for inter-coastal cruising and allows passage into shallow harbours that other boats shy away from. This boat is "turn-key" ready and can be sailed immediately, in fact I just completed my own trip from Canada down the east coast of the United States and throughout the Caribbean. Since I purchased this boat I have invested a lot of my own money and time preparing it to sail - so most of the equipment has backups, tools are included, etc. I am selling it because my own adventure is over and I am planning on going back to school in the fall.

-Mercury 8HP BigFoot 4-stroke outboard motor (2011) + 60W alternator, well maintained (original diesel inboard was removed and an inboard-outboard motor well was created to increase the storage space and make maintenance simpler - the entire motor can be removed for servicing!) , well maintained and reliable.
-Honda 2HP 4-stroke (BF2D) dinghy motor (2003), recently overhauled and runs well.
-21 gallon gasoline capacity which will be topped up at time of purchase (3.5 gallon main tank, 3.5 gallon backup main, two 5 gallon and four 1.25 gallon jerry cans).
-Equipment for general motor maintenance including: two backup fuel lines, funnels, replacement gaskets, spark plugs, oil, replacement fuel filter , motor flushing cups, etc.

Power:
-Much of the wiring has been re-done since time of purchase and is in good condition .
-Shore power ready (two 120V AC outlets + shore power cable and plug).
-New 20W solar panel with charge controller (plus additional backup charge controller and ~20W solar panels not currently installed).
-New 400W wind turbine from West Marine with charge controller (warranty still good) .
-Two marine deep cycle batteries with battery selector switch.
-Five 12V DC outlets (car-jack type), plug in inverter to 120V AC and plug in USB charging attachment.
-Equipment for general electrical maintenance including: spare wire and extension cord, butane powered soldering iron, heat shrink, liquid electrical tape, multimeter, etc.

Sails:
-Main Sail - in good condition, two reef points.
-Backup Main Sail - for emergencies, moderate condition with one reef point.
-Stay Sail (Cutter) – in good condition, one reef point.
-Yankee Sail - in good condition.
-Jib Sail - in good condition, one patch.
-Two sail patch kits.

Anchors:
-Well oversized Danforth main anchor + 30' chain and 100' nylon rode.
-CQR anchor + 30' chain and 100' nylon rode.
