You are the second "Spray" so far. I don't imagine it'll be long before a third comes along.

Keep in mind that we only began pulling this together two working days ago, so progress has been swift.

Re: Capehorn Windvane Group Discount?

Eric,

Just a thought, but Yves might be receptive to a combination of say 5 "Toucana" and a minimum of 3 vanes for the Spray's, for total of 8 vanes for the 20% discount. Times are tight, who knows? Could be worth a shot.

Re: Capehorn Windvane Group Discount?

Terrific news! We now have 7 orders for the Toucana Westsail 32 model, and only need one more order to qualify for the 20% discount offered to us by Eves at Cape Horn. Hopefully we can find at least one more Westsailor (or Bristol Channel Cutter owner) by this weekend. After extensive research, I've come to conclusion there isn't a better deal out there. If you've been thinking of getting one, the time to act is now.

Jean du Sud Wanted - Long Shot

I am interested. I guess the discount is based on the gears. I will ask if the Jean du Sud is going to qualify me for the same discount as the Toucana. I will keep you posted.

I've admired this vane in the past for another boat, which one for a Crealock 34, and roughly how much $$ are we talking here?

Re: Capehorn Windvane Group Discount?

I bought mine and got 10% off for waiting 3 months!

Better than a kick in the ........

I have managed to drill the hole in the transom and this week-end I hope to glass the tube in place. Hard part for a non ship-wright is understanding the instructions and then drilling precise holes in stainles pipe!!!!

Anyway our progress will be on our blog SouthPacificEngagement.com It looks and feels like a great piece of kit and very skocum!!

Just found out that the gears are not the same for my unit so I cannot help your cause. Good luck with your discount.

Re: Capehorn Windvane Group Discount ?

Well wish me luck. I am going to try and fix the stern tube at the correct angle. Apparently this is the most critical part of the operation. The drilling the stainless tubing scars me.

Fingers crossed.
And Legs
and everything else.

I'll take picks

Re: Capehorn Windvane Group Discount ?

I would go in on a Jean du Sud. If I pay all up front, is there still a production delay?
