For Sale: 45' Yacht ruined: parts salvaged for sale

My 45 foot sloop was a total loss after cable broke and the yard dropped the boat from travel lift. A preliminary list of all my salvaged gear follows. I have a whole basement full and it would pay to look at all the tools, parts and spares. There was no water damage to gear. The gear is in Westport, CT and New Rochelle, NY.

What was the name of the boat and do you have a picture of the damage? I read somewhere that boat thieves sometimes break up a boat and sell the parts on the internet. Just asking :-)

Just asking you say but basically this accuses the poster of being a thief and demands he prove otherwise.

I think prudence would recommend some sort of evidence to indicate a crime before posting something like this.

Agreed. I like how the accuser failed to appreciate the OP basically completely outs his own identity and location as well as provides a serial number for the outboard. I found the OP in a search that took .0053879 seconds.

If you read the OP's past posts he has been at his same marina since 1979. Sounds like a real slick operator. Brilliant work McGruff. Maybe we can all meet up with Chief Wiggums at the donut shop after the crime is solved and pat ourselves on the back. :-)

Ha! Yeah I saw that the other day too. Well I took my life in my own hands and actually visited the OP while he was out in Westport photographing his stash. I can say for sure that he is who he says he is and the stuff is for the most part in very good to excellent shape. I bought the sea anchor some line and some other odds and ends and a local friend came by and bought some stuff as well, but there is plenty more available in addition to the stuff at other locations.

FYI, he did get another boat, same model just 13 years newer, really awesome looking boats BTW. New boat just came with a full set of gear and this stuff is the overflow.

Edit: For KDH, the sea anchor I bought is not the drogue, that is a separate item and was still available when I left yesterday. Recommend emailing him since he said that he doesn't like checking PM's from his phone, too much trouble...
