These boats should only be delivered after a full one year shakedown by an experienced captain. You're in luck as I'll do the shakedown free of charge. Just hand her over to me in June '10 and I'll return her in June '11 with a detailed list of needs ( in extreme circumstance, shakedown could take 2 years though)

Seriously, CONGRATULATIONS on the purchase of a fine cat! She'll provide you years of unadulterated smiles! You've outfitted her very nicely. Only thing I might offer is - were there any other power options available besides the Volvo's? They are a fine motor - but spares can be ridiculously expensive and difficult to source in more remote parts of the globe.

*** Also, what's your battery bank sizing look like?

Congratulations.

Fountaine Pajot certainly have the plant working hard. I was surprised that they are up to Hull # 47 already.

Enjoy.

Salina 48 Has Finally Arrived !

My Salina 48 "Sea Dancer" arrived in Durban about two weeks ago.
Sailed her for the ist time on Sunday 1 to 1.5 m swell with wind of 12 knots and I managed 7.5 knots plus from her and I am a complete novice.
