Lavezzi 40: Back up to Chart Plotter

After a lot of research on the net looking at monitors to install at the helm to replicate what I have on the screen of my laptop located on the nav station , I have finally found the perfect solution as not only can I replicate what is on my laptop screen ( using an App ) , I can also run navionic charts using the built in GPS of the iPad as a back up.
All I had to do was to purchase and install the iPad mount from Talon which includes a 12 volt supply as well as a USB plug and install it on the dash board follwing the instructions from Talon and VOILA ! Job done .
The mounting arm even comes with its own storage bag as it is easily removable ( about 3 seconds ) when not in use .
Sure does make life a lot easier .

another great function i've found with ipads is if you turn on the camera,you can use the screen like a mirror,great for shaving when on watch!!!!
