A Fountaine Pajot Tobago 35, Our Perspective

My wife and I have updated, with reasonable pictures, our perspective on sailing and owning a (FP) Tobago 35, with many of the little modifications we have made over the past decade. We'd very much enjoy your comments on it. (We're not selling anything).

Our main site, with links to pictures, videos, weblogs, articles, and the "our perspective" write-up is here:

or, you can go direct to the "our perspective" writeup here:

Tobago 35 Personal Perspective

We began writing this up after responding to quite a few emails asking for this type of info. Thanks to so many of you who have provided advice on a lot of this over the years.

I've run a few Tobagos. Decent boats, esp for the price.

That bit of rigging you mention running to change the jib sheet lead angle is called a "barberhauler". Very effective techinque on most multihulls. Can have a significant impact on performance.

Thanks for reviewing, Belizesailor. I thought barber haulers were used only to pull the jibsheet inboard, but I suppose it could be applied. I could also say it is a means to replace a spinnaker or jib pole for those who have wide boats.
