UKTides plugin

Hello. I've installed Openplotter on a Pi4 and that's all working fine. I have since tried to install the UKTides plugin. I've run sudo apt-get... for the plugin and it seemed to run OK (no messages). I did the same for oesenc and had the same result in the command line - except that the oesenc plugin is in the plugin list but UKTides isn't. Has UKHO broken this or have I missed something? Any help appreciated, thanks.

UserError....

UKTides needs an update. I have it ready, but it is not yet in the catalog.

UserError...

UKTides_pi is now back in the Beta catalog for OpenCPN 5.2.4.

Select the Beta catalog, Update the Beta catalog...
And you should find UKTides in the list ready for installation.

the Symbols shown on the chart is a circle with the name underneath. It is not the same as your pictures. Thanks for it.
Have a good day.

Re: UKTides plugin

I did that so many times for certain tide stations, such as Southampton, I could not reproduce their double high and double low, but could arrive to something more rounded specially for high water. Others, it was the low that was much too early. So, in the end you must accept certain differences.
Best Regards.

P_Dub...

Initially I found the same problem on Win 10. Reinstalled OpenCPN 5.2.4 and the problem with the icons had gone away.

If you don't want to do anything as drastic I suggest uninstalling the plugin and removing anything to do with UKTides. Then update the Beta catalog and try a new install.

Just compared the UK tides beta version with data from Admiralty Total Tide for Southampton, and it's spot on.

Re: UKTides plugin

Good for you. When you retain only 28 constituents it is, but when you analyse a long period, it is not.
Bye.
