Touch screen: Night navigation monochromatic red

I have a RPI4 with touch screen in the cockpit running OpenCPN. I normally use the Night Navigation monochromatic red mode (cycle with ctrl + G) on a windows computer when night sailing.

However, without keyboard, I cannot send the ctrl+G command, is there another way I can cycle through the night navigation mode?

A couple questions:
1. Does CTRL+G work if you plug a keyboard into the Pi?
2. Have you tried the various night modes you can get from clicking/touching the menu?

Re: Touch screen: Night navigation monochromatic red

1. Actually I just tried CTRL+G on RPI4 and it doesn't work, nor with a keyboard plugged nor connected with VNC, it works very well on Windows though..

2. Yes I have tried the different color modes, very nice, and there is dedicated icons for it. It would make sense to me if there was dedicated icons also for rolling between the different night modes

Re: Touch screen: Night navigation monochromatic red

The key sequence seems to be a Windows only thing, it changes EVERYTHING, not just OpenCPN. I'll try it on my Mint computer next time I get to the boat, but I am guessing it won't work.
I use the night mode accessible from the OpenCPN menu that looks like this:
