Swedish Style Charts for Upcoming Release 3.0

For the Swedish and other Scandinavian types out there who have grown up with a brighter look on their charts, here is a treat for you. In the very soon to be released 3.0 I have done lots of work to make the chart rendering more customizable (Works fine in the latest beta too). So we can now have charts that look more like home

Download http://journeyman.se/opencpn/s57data.zip, and unpack the two files there into the s57data folder of your install.

As you can see, colors and underwater rocks are Swedish style, plus the soundings uses a smaller anti-aliased font which makes the screen look more like the paper version.

Have fun!

Jesper..

I keep my individual S57 charts and CM93 in separate directories,is it still sufficient to copy the two files into the ocpn S57 data folder?

Do you know my friend Jan Bergstrand? He used to run a sail charter service in Buenos Aires and also in Angra.

Yes, the two config files will change the looks of all vector charts, regardless of type and where they are stored.

And... I just spent two months in Angra, but didn't meet any Swedes except one couple who were running a restaurant in Abraão.

Jesper, I can confirm that the 2 config files work as promised with beta 2.6.1729 and cm93 v2. Thank you.

Jesper..

The CM93 as well as my S57 charts looks really great and much brighter than before.
Thanks for a great visual improvement. I am on Win 7

Did you copy the two filkes into opencpn s57data?
On my Linux System it`s located under

/usr/local/share/opencpn/s57data

don`t know where Windos store these data

Thank you for this improvement, like it very much!
Is it possible to make one more improvement?
Can it be done so we also can have the spelling in the charts in the Swedish language (åäö)?

I am using XPSP3, CM93v2-jan 2011 and the two files are located in the S57 under /Prog.../Opencpn/... As far as I can se all changes done by Jesper are there except the color of land area. Has this something to do with the color issues seen on earlier betas of 2.6?
