That was an answer open to interpretation ... Just to make sure: The file should be called "opencpn.exe". If you call it anything else it will not read the .ini file.

Yes it is renamed to: opencpn.exe

I really like the look of this style. I am curious if there would be a chance of being able to change styles in future releases of OpenCPN?

Actually I'm not sure I'm going to take it much further than it stands right now. Changes like this that used to be borderline impossible is now pretty straight forward in 3.0.

I don't see the need for a GUI to change the vector chart style, it's not really something you would be doing on a frequent basis.

I'm going to put in a search path though, so you don't need to overwrite the default installed files.
