OpenCPN - Windows vs Mac version

I am seeking some advices on how these two platforms compared within Open CPN for its the function, stability and easy of use.

I am currently using Macbook which is about 4 years old and thinking to switch down to Windows lapbook and notebook. Hence my question for Open CPN?

Thanks.

Re: OpenCPN - Windows vs Mac version

I am not a Mac user - but from the discussions in the forum it is pretty obvious that the support for PC & Linux users is better than for Mac users.

The support for plug-ins are also generally not as good for Mac.

The reason is lack of equipment to develop on and developers on Mac in general.

I don't mean to dismiss Mac at all, but if one purpose of a new computer is to run OpenCPN I would suggest a PC or Linux based system instead of a Mac.
