My OpenCPN-Installation on a Mac (Version 3.2.0 Build 2013-02-26 , OS-X 10.8.2)
has suddenly lost all the tracks of the last 20000 nautical miles. I would very much love to get them back!
A Time Machine Backup of the computer is available but I don`t know which directory to recover. Where are the tracks saved???
Is there anybody who can help?
Many thanks in advance,
Ulf
No problem if you have had Time Machine running.
The files are in ~/Library/Preferences/
Library might be a hidden folder in your home directory. So go to the Finder menu and you can open ~/Library folder when the Alt key is pressed. In the GoTo menu of Finder you will see now the Library item. Then open the Preferences folder in Library. There you might see 6 files like navobj.xml and navobj.xml.1 to navobj.xml.5.
navobj.xml.x are backup files while navobj.xml is the actual one.
Open Time Machine while you are in Preference folder with Finder and you will see your older files.
