OpenCPN lost OpenGL ability

I’m on Debian running the latest version of OpenCPN.

I started OpenCPN this morning and got an error about plugins that needed OpenGL were removed because OpenGL was disabled.

I’m unable to select OpenGL in the settings dialog.

I renamed OpenCPN.conf and restarted and OpenGL works again but I’ve lost all of our settings.

What can I change in the old conf file to fix this? Also, what could have caused this?

Hi Sabado,

do what Nohal says in the opencpn.ini in [Settings] section.

also check:

that there is not another instance of DisableOpenGL=1 in the same section
in such case exchange yours to 0
if it is not the case you must create such variable: DisableOpenGL=0

OCPN should start with OpenGL activated and not greyed in the Graphic tab.

That fixed it.

I think it mush have been when I connected through RDP and that did something.
