Question OpenCPN Build on Windows - Please Help!

Hello everyone,

There is some questions about OpenCPN build on windows.

I was downloaded the source from sf.net.
And then,I try build it on windows follow this direction
Compiling - Windows | Official OpenCPN Homepage

but,no luck.


Some errors was occured when I use "CMake" to build the OpenCPN source.
Perhaps,Cmakelist.txt has something wrong ?



The infomation CMake shows is:

*** Building opencpn 2.5.0 ***

*** Building PlugIns ***

*** Building dashboard_pi ***
*** Building grib_pi ***

*** Building opencpn ***
Could NOT find Freetype (missing: FREETYPE_LIBRARY FREETYPE_INCLUDE_DIRS)
S57 ENC support: enabled
Garmin Host Mode support: enabled
Writing spec file...
CMake Error: The following variables are used in this project, but they are set to NOTFOUND.
Please set them or make sure they are set and tested correctly in the CMake files:
FREETYPE_LIBRARY (ADVANCED)
linked by target "opencpn" in directory C:/OpenCPN-2.5.0-Source

Configuring incomplete, errors occurred!




My computer OS is WIN7 32Bit

If you know how to solve the problem,please help me!

Looks like latest CMake is somewhat broken in this respect:
CMake not finding Freetype error (on Windows)

Can you try with previous cmake version and report?

It's OK,Thank you!Jean-Eudes.

And I well tell something for other people,
when building OpenCPN in Visual Studio2010 SP1 must be set character set on "Unicode",otherwise,will occur "Link Error 2001"
