OpenCPN Android o-charts pi

My mate and I have used OCPN on Windows and Linux for some years with no problem. We are experienced with Windows and Linux, but know little about the nuts & bolts of Android.

We have invested in 2 rugged tablets (Android 11) for our respective helms.

I have 2 questions relating to the o-charts plug in.

1. We are presented with v1.0.44.0 and v2.0.1.9 in the Plug In Manager. Naturally I first tried V2... but it fails to complete installation with an error. V1.. installs fine. Upgrading to v2.. after installing v1.. gives the same error. Is this normal for Android? Are there any issues with using V1..?

2. OCPN works fine and I have loaded some RNC charts, copied over waypoints, layers, etc. But, we tried loading AusENC charts using o-charts plug in on one of the tablets and during the process it reboots and comes up with "dm-verity corruption". Has anyone experienced this? I checked Android forums and the suggested fixes don't work. Is this likely to be a tablet hw, Android, or OCPN issue? I haven't been game to try on other tablet yet because we don't know where the problem originates. But maybe will have to give it a go soon!!!!!

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

What is the exact model, etc. of the tablet you are testing?

It's a Geshem GS1081T, marketed as Sailproof SP10AS. 10" rugged tablet running Android 11.

One other small point - the Show Depth Units toggle does nothing. Depth units are always displayed. The value of the parameter in config file does change.

Done and now all OK.

Also ignore comment re Show Depth Units. It does toggle with AusENC charts.
