OpenCPN 5.6.0 - Tracks and German

I have an issue with OpenCPN 5.6.0 and it took me a while to pin point.

When setting language to german and do something with tracks (e.g. closing, opening, or adding new data under way) or more easy to reproduce go to properties, I get the following message:



The error does not appear when language is set to english.

My guess is that OpenCPN assumes german data format day/month/year in tracks when set to german, but gets english format month/day/year

The error is present in 5.6.0 on a RaspPi, but not in 5.6.1 on MacOS. So, maybe it has been taken care already. I am too dump to install 5.6.1. beta test on the Pi, sorry.

As seen in your screenshot there are 3 open instances of OpenCPN at the upper border of the RaspPi screen. I don't guess there is the same behavior for macOS. Is this normal for RaspPi?

My dear friend, it is kind of obvious those are not three instances of OpenCPN.

The leftmost item is the main window of OpenCPN, the item in the center is the Route Manager window, the rightmost item is the window of the terminal application.
This has bothing to do with RPI or OpenCPN, it is a functionality of the window manager and it was designed so by it's authors. If you for whatever reason don't like their design decision, you have to go to complain to them, not here.

You might maybe consider putting a pause to your posts in every single thread mentioning Raspberry Pi and running OpenCPN on it at least until you gather some minimal knowledge about the subject.

just installed 5.6.2 on a Pi4. No issues. Thanks for fixing it.
