NV Charts plugin (Windows Only)

This is a fork of Dave Registers's nvc_pi adapted to build a managed version. Information about the plugin is here: https://opencpn.org/OpenCPN/plugins/nvcharts.html

Before installing it is best to uninstall previous versions of the plugin.

Something is wrong here. When trying to open the link above the browser title shows "TwoCan Plugin".

Hello Mike,


I had already used the first version 3.0 that you offered for download.

And I had managed to display one of my old sets of NV-Charts nautical charts.



I just installed version 3.0 through plugin manager and activated.



But, despite my attempts to rebuild the database, no chart is displayed.

Gilletarom ... I feared that renaming to NV Charts might cause an issue. In your list of plugins available for install or installed you might find 'nvc' (not NV Charts). Is this the case?

- In this path, "C:\ProgramData\opencpn\plugins\install_data", I see what you see in the screenshot 1, 2 and 3


- In this path : "C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenCPN\plugins", I see what you see in the screenshot 4.

That looks correct.

Could you check that nvc is not present in the installed catalog and the available plugins? Only NV Charts is shown.

Reason: An entry will have been made in ocpn-plugins.xml and some hand editing may be needed.

And you have the correct directory for the NV Charts listed in OpenCPN?

Installed NV Charts on a PC that had not seen OpenCPN 5.6.2 or nvc_pi/NV Charts. Works fine with both French and English interfaces.

Only thing I can suggest is to use the demo files in the repo, install those charts and see if they work. This also installs the NV Charts .dll that is used by the plugin. I used Test A on both Windows 8.1 and 10.0 machines.
