Incorrect menu list display

Hello,
I hope to find a solution to my problem:
Here are the pictures that speak louder than a long speech. Instead of having the names of the menu icons, I have lines of variable length depending on the intended name.
I'm running the latest Xubuntu 22.04, OpenCPN is up to date, I went so far as to completely reinstall my OS a couple of days ago and so OpenCPN is new...
Whether it's in English (the original) or French, it's the same.
OpenGL is activated on demand because I have an nVidia card.
Dell XPS 15 16GB memory, 2TB disk.

Wayland. Is anything besides the tooltips not working?

No, everything seems to be fine and working.
I've checked my display server, it is not Wayland.

Deleted and fully reinstalled Xubuntu 22.04 and OpenCPN, same problem... :-(

It looks like a bug in XFCE desktop not correctly sizing the tooltip windows as requested and setting the height to 1 pixel instead, workaround pushed to the development codebase.
