Re: Feature Requests

Hi everybody,

This is my first post on this forum. I have been following the development of OpenCPN and OpenPlotter for quite some time and I'm really amazed of what has been achieved! I have started to build a navigation system around Raspberry4 and Openplotter. I'm hoping to have a quite extensive system with radar, AIS etc.
My question now is, would it be possible to have a depthsounder (fishfinder) window on the OpenCPN? There are blackbox sounders (Garmin gsd22) available for couple of hundred dollars. They have Garmin Marine Network (ethernet) connection like Garmin radars so probably the same counterengineering of network traffic would be needed to get the graphical view.

What do you think?
