Connection oddity

My nmea Gps position comes from the VHF into a raspberry pi. When I start up OpenCPN with the correct baud rate, the location is not recognized. I have to go to connections, change the baud to an incorrect setting, then go back again and change to the originsl/ correct baud rate. Gps then found by the system.

What might be the problem/solution?

Running 5.6.2

Re: Connection oddity

I recommend updating to OCPN 5.8.2.
If the problem persists, we can dig in further.

Thanks

Re: Connection oddity

On this install I didn't use OpenPlotter. Can you point me to upgrade instructions for 5.8.2? I will upgrade this RPi to OpenPlotter when I get back home in a few weeks.
