Need some advice....

I have always wanted a sailboat and I just recently this year bought myself a 14 ft Laser. But I want more. I want a 27-37 ft day-sailor that can seat 6 comfortably. I have been looking at different websites and seen many boats for sale that interest me. I am stuck on where to go. I like the Savannah and Hilton Head area in South Carolina. But I also like the Florida Panhandle. I have vacationed in the Destin area and also Navarre Beach. I will probably be vacationing in either Destin or Savannah in mid to late October or early November. I will be visiting marinas and looking at boats to consider. I would love to have a boat for spring break 2016. If anybody has any offers for boats or an area that has good sailing, a good marina to keep it at, or can give me an area that is less than a 13 hour drive from Sprinfield Il please let me know.

Welcome to CF Sailor!

It should be no problem finding a boat with that range of locations...

Re: Need some advice....

There is also water north of you.

If you are only going to see your boat once or twice a year, why own?

On the other hand, if you keep it closer, you can use it regularly and build your skills faster.
