Replacing bad Autohelm Depth/Speed meter

My Nimble has a inoperative Autohelm Depth speed Log.

I'd like to use the old sensors if they work. Is this possible. If I get a new Autohelm Depth/Speed log will the sensors fit the old holes?

I haven't traced the wires yet. So I am wondering how it gets power. Does power come through the sea-talk data cable?

Re: Replacing bad Autohelm Depth/Speed meter

I purchased a Raymarine ST60+.
This is just a display unit for a seatalk system. It doesn't have connections for the speed or depth sensors.

So I am hoping to return it and find something that Raymarine makes that is a direct replacement.

The good news is that I found that the display has power. When I plugged the ST60+ in it lit up!

Re: Replacing bad Autohelm Depth/Speed meter

I think what you have is a tri-data repeater (A22017P) what you need is a tri-data instrument display (A22013P). Here's the first one showed up on E-bay, note the connections on back for the transducers.

Re: Replacing bad Autohelm Depth/Speed meter

I was thinking of getting the I40 Bidata Display which has this back panel.

But I like the 60+ Bidata display better, So I may spring for the extra $100 or so bucks for that, I'll also try to figure out how to get a seatalk network up and running on the boat so I can have two displays, one for the cockpit and one at the conning station in the pilot house.

Thanks

Re: Replacing bad Autohelm Depth/Speed meter

New Idea.
According to the Raytheon website the instrument with similar functionality to the old St30 Bidata is the new i50 tridata.

It shows three things at once and has connections for the depth and speed sensors. The Seatalk is now Seatalkng and has different connectors.

So to use the i60+ I got off ebay will require an adapter cable.
