Position Reporting System for Website Plug-in

We are looking for a way to upload position reports in an easy way to our cruising website. Our website can insert a map with our current location but I have not found an easy affordable way to do that. I tired MarineTraffic's widget and it did not work, perhaps I did not enter the code properly in the MarineTraffic widget.

Any suggestions? We where using a system that did work but had to email our location in every day. We are looking for a more reliable way...that perhaps automatically uses our AIS data.

Thank you,
Harley

One option... https://www.noforeignland.com/ has many ways to upload position then you could embed their map on your page.

I've got the Marinetraffic widget working. I had tried other mapping options and uploading my tracks, but none offer the comfort of Marinetraffic's map.

Re: Position Reporting System for Website Plug-in

The downside of Marinetraffic is that is you are out of terrestrial receiver range your position won't be tracked.. so for example no one could see your progress as you make a large passage in the ocean. This may be okay, but it is a limitation of using Marine Traffic AIS for tracking. Satellite trackers like InReach, Iridium, PredictWind Datahub, YB, etc don't have that limitation.
