Which network settings are you trying to change?

My set up is..

Connect external wifi dongle, wlan1, to the marina wifi. Log on to marina wifi in epifany web browser.
In openplotter wifiAP tab, AP wifi device set to wlan0 (Internal wifi device in the Pi)
internet connect to share set to WLAN1
The click the enable wifi access point box and that's it, maybe need to log onto the marina wifi again.

Re: OpenPlotter project

I can't connect to the marina Hotspot with WLAN1, because I am not "authorized". I see the hotspot in Wifi taskbar.

Are you logged in local or remotely? I observed same behavior when logged in from remote.

These openplotter units are maybe underpowered if they are to rebroadcast internet, manage onboard systems manage all sorts of other items. This software is a lot more powerfull than i thought. I hope everyone is throwing a few bucks to the developers

Logging on remotely with VNC seems to be fine here.

Sailoog - outputs?
In v07.1beta I can't seem to do anything with the outputs. Any outputs created show up in the trigger menu but not in the actions menu, am I missing something?

VDR Plugin

Can anyone give me some pointers on using this plugin with OCPN/OP. I'm on OP 0.7.1.
I'm trying to use the VDR plugin but cant get it to show any NMEA data.
I load the (demo) attachment.txt file and play it but see nothing.
Quite sure this is user-error but cant find anymore info on the OCN site or forum
Thx
Steve

Calibration failed at ellipsoid stage

Hi all Openplotterists !

My config : Rpi2, V7.1beta, connected sensors : MPU9150, BMP180, HTU21, DS18B20 (2)

1- I couldn't calibrate properly the magnetometers of my MPU9150, Once I got more than 200 counts in each of the counters, I started the ellpsoid phase which terminated quickly, with a message :
Failed to execute RTEIIipsoidFit.m. Only
min/max calibration available.

I remember having seen a thread on that matter, but couldn't find it.

2 - I could register on OpenMarine, and posted same thread, which one to favour for bug reporting ?

Yes please, this is an example of the necessity of a more friendly site to search for old issues

Let's start with the new support forum

I have a bit of a problem with OpenCPN if I connect the NGW-1 through Kplex.
The problem is that the system_input is UDP and the system_output is TCP.
If I set the localhost:10110 TCP to In/Out then XTE etc. is not sent because the system_input is UDP.
If I set up a separate connection for output then OpenCPN loops all messages received.
If I connect the NGW-1 directly to OpenCPN as In/Out then it works OK.

Is there a good reason for having the system_input as UDP and the system_output as TCP?
