Milltech Marine rip off!!!

I bought a AIS splitter from Milltech Marine and then decided to buy an AIS unit with the built-in splitter and wifi. I returned the AIS splitter I had bought and they charged me over $54 return fee! Not to mention I had to eat the shipping both ways! Another $30 down the drain. So for a $229 splitter I lost $84. I guess they punish people for returning their products. I would hate to think what they would charge, in return fees, for a much more expensive unit.

I was going to buy an AIS transponder with wifi and splitter built-in. I will be looking elsewhere from now on.

So they should pay the shipping for your sloppy decision making, and go through the testing and inspection they need to do before they can sell it so someone else at a reduced price as an open box item?? All at no cost to you? Just pass it on to other customers who do their homework BEFORE they buy?

I think your expectations are beyond unreasonable.

I have never returned anything to Milltech But I have bought several items from them over the years. They have always given me very good service and free with their time to advise both purchase and technical advice . Did you contact them and discuss your dissatisfaction?

All good points. Maybe I should have calmed down before I posted. I did read the TOS and return policy. I spent lot of time trying to make a decision on the unit. I don't have a habit of sloppy decisions. But I guess I did this time. No need to cry me a river. I don't need anyones sympathy. Not angry or feeling sorry for myself. Maybe kicking myself a little.

or dont use a splitter
dedicated antenna for ais
