Installing Balmar 618 External Regulator

Hi Ya'll, new here.
I am retrofitting a 1984 Beneteau 345 first. I replaced my old Volvo Penta with a Yanmar 3YM20.
It came with a 125amp Valeo Alternator. I installed the Balmar MC-618 external regulator. It was somewhat straight forward.

I read that a valeo alternators connects to the tach internally, however I still need to install the stator in and tach out wires for the balmar regulator. the balmar 618 comes with a stator in/tach out wire. Do I connect this wire to the alternator? If so where? Also, what wire is the tach wire in my harness. I believe I have the Yanmar Panel B. Ive looked at the wire diagram hundreds of times but seem to still be confused about which specific wire I have to connect these to.

Have you converted the alternator to external field?
