Inmarsat Prices

I am debating what Internet monthly plan I should buy. I will be installing new
equipment on a motor yacht I am refurbishing in Ft. Lauderdale, and intend to have her in the US VI for the season, then back to Florida. Web surfing and e-mails are my priority.

If anyone has any recommendations I would be grateful for your advice.

Re: Inmarsat Prices

Both locations are easy to get cell phone service and have usable data for surfing. Invest in a cell phone booster first.

Unless you are doing ocean passages or are generally outside WiFi range, Inmarsat is still prohibitively expensive.

Re: Inmarsat Prices

We're happy with our Isatphone Pro, it works well and the price was good, but in the past couple of years our Inmarsat prepaid plan costs have increased significantly. And the time allocation has reduced.

Look into other carriers, like Iridium and Thuraya too.
