Icom 700pro with at-130

Spent the weekend installing my radio and tuner. I have a few questions for those who are knowledgeable with this.
The radio will not go to LSB mode, I assume it needs to be "opened up" - What is the procedure for this? I'm a general class ham.
The AT-130 has a 3 position switch, another assumption I made is that it should be in the normal position.. is this correct?

Further to this: When the pactor modem is controlling the frequency of the radio (such as when trying to do e-mail) should the frequency that the modem is tuning the radio to be displayed, or the channel the radio was on before the modem took control?
