how long to companies support their eq

Hi All,
I wondering how long companies support their electronics.
I'm not talking about SW updates.
more along the lines of repairs. as in the touch screen isn't working properly any more
how long will a company repair or replace the unit. out of warranty?
example we have a ES128 bought in 2016. worked great until fall of 2021. the touch went crazy.. touch was happening when we didn't touch the unit. then parts of the screen stopped responding to touch..
ok sent the unit in to be fixed..oh.. the LCD isn't available anymore.
so what about other companies? do they support 8yr old equipment(repair).

maybe I'm just venting but send lots of money on good equipment to have it fail? and then option is upgrade? to equipment that's already been out since 2017? sounds to me like the upgrade equipment is near the end of its life.

HUM??
tablets are cheap!!

Electronics are disposable. 8 years is a long time. eBay is your friend, buy a used one as a replacement if you want to maintain what you have without upgrading everything.
