Help needed - staying connected in the mediterranean

Hi all,

we are planning on cruising the med this summer (fingers crossed) and would like to stay connected. We will have cell phones (google fi) and sim card router (Orange). I was considering getting a wifi booster (e.g., Ubiquiti Bullet) and a 4g booster (e.g., WeBoost 4G-X), but not sure how useful these would be in reallity. Anyone can share his experience cruising in the med with or without "signal boosting"? Interested in particular in Corsica, Sardegna, Sicily, Greece, Malta...

Thanks!
Jeff

I’ve been using SIM cards in the med for many years

Good coverage

Hard to say what the best card for each region is

I tend to buy local pay as you go chips

Some networks are great , some not so good

Ask st each location before you buy

I had a mobile phone booster on the mast head but lightning took it out

The booster defiantly extended range

The med is mountainous , expect blind spots
