Staying connected to the sails

What do you do when you live in a frozen tundra and are months away from the next time you'll see the ocean? Wear your offshore gear while driving Click image for larger version

Re: Staying connected to the sails

If seeing and experiencing the ocean is important to you, then the only solution that will satisfy is to move to a seaside location in a more clement location. Otherwise you will spend your life eating your heart out, wishing for the sea.

Placebos may work with some diseases, but not for sea fever.

Re: Staying connected to the sails

During the off season I and the wife do road trips visiting family and friends in land. Even after only a few weeks we both start to feel the pull of the ocean and have driven for a couple of hours to the coast for lunch and a water fix. Your not mad just lost.

Re: Staying connected to the sails

He he he he, I also have the sea fever. Although I'm still on land, I'm one of the luckiest sailors in the world. My boat is literally only 30 feet from my kitchen door.

As I type this - I'm looking at her (wishing I were sailing her), but not today as we have almost hurricaine conditions and it is colder than all get out

Our books have gotten 5 star reviews on Amazon. Several readers have written "I never thought I would go on a circumnavigation, but when I read these books, I was right there in the cockpit with Vinni and Carsten"
