After we've been way too long on land, and Dulcinea way too long
on the hard in Trinidad, we are finally getting ready to
head out there again. We used to have a GPRS/EDGE
service offered by Cingular that worked OK in much of the southern
eastern Caribbean, but then they raised the rates to a point that mere mortals could no longer afford it. I notice that Digicel and BMobile have a GPRS
service now. Has anyone used them, and if so, which one might be better? We have Winlink
email and have been able to pick up
WiFi at some
anchorages, but this evil thing called
work kept me off the
boat for the past year and a half, and if I can get decent
email service that I can use somewhat reliably for business stuff, then I can slay the evil
work monster and get back where I am supposed to be. Any thoughts? Many thanks....JB s/v Dulcinea
