Garmin Homeport For Mac

I bought a Garmin GPSMAP 750 Chartplotter and found Garmin Homeport in the applications for Mac. I am wondering if you can download the charts from the GPSMAP750 to my Mac or do I need to buy the charts again seperate to use them on my Mac?

The charts will work in homeport as long as the GPS is actually connected. Otherwise you'll need to get a bluechart card and actually install it in homeport.
