Furuno

I just changed the batteries, installed eight Firefly batteries in two banks to replace the original AGM's on the boat, everything went well until I turned on the instruments(Furuno FI-50) and auto pilot, I get a no input reading for the multi function and auto pilot, all other instruments (Garmin chart plotter, Furuno GPS and Cobra radio) are working. Every instrument, the whole boat was turned off before the battery swap. Any ideas, thanks in advance.

Re: Furuno

Sounds like a backup battery for non volitile memory went bad and the furuno has lost data. Might go through the initial startup process again.

Re: Furuno

On rare occasion, Furuno MFD's lose which external devices you have selected....radars, transducers, autopilot, GPS etc. You have to go into the MFD's menu and reselect that external device. It's relatively simple. If you are still having a problem then call Furuno's excellent tech support in Camas WA. 360-834-9300.
