AIS not showing all targets

Hi,
I have a Zeus 3 MFD with a Class B AIS transponder on a N2K backbone. The backbone is also connected to the old NMEA 0183 through a SeaTalk NG adaptor.*
When the 0183 part of the system is disconnected the AIS works fine but as soon as I connect it to the N2K backbone I encounter problems.
Only some AIS targets show up and the don't give any collision avoidance info. Over time, targets slowly show up but not all of them.
I changed the baud rate but that did not help. I am out of ideas and I would really like having the instruments on the NMEA 0183 side.

I had a similar issue and it was rectified by installing quality soldered coax connectors.

draw out exactly what you have.... what 183 data are you trying to put onto the n2k network and how? adding and removing a 183 to n2k adapter should not cause issues on the n2k network.
