Hunter 466 Rollbar

We are looking at a 2002 Hunter 466 and it has this pesky "rollbar" in the middle of the cockpit. It sits in front of the helm at about 6'2". I am 6'7". I heard that this rollbar was actually an option. Could I move the traveler that sits atop it, forward of the companion way or even build a perm dodger and put it atop that? Any ideas or experience with this issue would be appreciated.

Personally I think the hunter arch traveler system is a good idea. Gets the traveller out of the cockpit while still having the main sheet at the end of the boom.

You may be able to move the traveler forward, but you need to be sure that the coach roof and the boom are able to support the increased loads that mid-boom sheeting requires.

The opinion of this this Hunter boat, that has the arch, owner is .......................... it's absolutely CRAZY to consider removing the arch and designing the boat. It isn't even worth the time to list the reasons why it is so crazy an idea IMO b ecause it is such a bad idea.
