How I Feel About the Sea [a poem]
I wrote this poem this morning and thought I would share it.
I like to sail upon the sea.
The wind and waves are part of me.
I feel at home on all the ships.
The taste of salt upon my lips.
A gentle breeze or windy night,
the raging sea that brings a fright.
A well set sail and anchors home.
The promise of no more to roam.
But I still sail upon the sea.
The wind and waves are part of me.
I like it best when stars are bright,
and moon trails shimmer in the night.
and Whales will blow and Dolphins play,
and I will greet the brand new day,
with heart of hope to do my best
to bring my boat home to it's rest.
But I still sail upon the sea
the wind and waves are part of me.
And when my boat can roam no more
and I am forced upon the shore
I will hang my hat and remember well
the days I spent in sea and swell.
The oceans grace is mine to reap
and I may die before I sleep,
But I still sail upon the sea.
The wind and waves are part of me.
I think I should stop drinking Bourbon.
regards
SHINER

Re: How I feel about the sea. [a poem]
I am far from the ocean at the moment, and that SO makes me want to be on the boat at home. Thank you
