Bluebird of Thorne

A very good friend of mine is trying to locate the whereabouts of a pioneering boat his Uncle built back in 1924: Twin keel - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

He believes it is in Holland, and would dearly love to see her again, and perhaps ask for an invite to sail her once more.

Do you know where this boat is? Or either of her sisters (one was in Western USA, and one in the Channel Islands when last heard of)?

Interesting yacht. Arthur Beiser chose her to be one of his "Proper Yachts" in his 1966 book.
Robb did some interesting flow work on those twin keels.

This article mentions her current owners as of 2005. (Page 4)

The boat has been in Jersey Channel Islands for at least 30 years, she is now called Inversanda, and has been in the same family and cruised extensively for many years!

Re: Bluebird of Thorne

Thanks for the responses so far. The boat in Jersey is Number 2. And she looks awesome with a spinnaker.

It was boat no.1 that John, my dear friend, had most to do with, but I believe he spent time sailing on them all...
