I am in the process of having the topside and decks of my IP45 buffed and polished. The gentleman doing the work
has suggested using Awlcare Protective Polymer Sealer instead of a conventional gelcoat
wax for the final protective layer and shine. I have researched online without conclusion if Awlcare is suitable for gelcoat
as the product is obviously made for Awlgrip paint
. In my web search I was disappointed to find only dated reviews
regarding the newest and best protective coatings for gelcoat. I am sure this question has been asked many times but I would like recommendations from the readers of Cruisers Forum as to works best for them. Would the group recommend wax or the newer polymer sealers and if so is Awlcare a good product to protect gelcoat. Thanks!
