Buying in the Med.

We are in New Zealand and yet to get on board. We are trying to synchronize selling our or house and packing away our life to start a new one sailing. We are told that the best time to buy in the Mediterranean is October to March . Trouble being we are going to be struggling to get sorted before the end of March. Can anyone tell me if it's still viable to buy a yacht during cruising season?
Or any other options we should consider?

Our Oyster 53 is presently for sale in Greece during the cruising season and will make a perfect liveaboard; which is what I’m presently doing. It’s all set up and at work for us, able to remain out of costly anchorages indefinitely.
