Sailrite Sale

Sailrite is having $150 off sale on there top model sewing machine tell the 9th. My wife and I sailed from Antigua to Jacksonville Fl. recently and in the Bahamas we had a large seam let go on our main sail. We repaired it by hand only to have it let go a second time in sort orderFilling a bit bummed, we made way to Georgetown and just happened to get there during their rally. I put out a help call on the morning net and a boat next to us came over to look at our sail. He said he could fix it and off he went to get his Sailrite sewing machine. We did the repair on the deck of our boat and I though a new mainsail and a Sailrite would be on our list before setting off from the U.S. A main sail in Antigua is about $1500 more than Florida so I put it off. Anyway, if you have been looking for a new Sailrite, now may be the time. A BIG thank you to Ian and Michelle on S/V Mahina for helping S/V Manna!

Re: Sailrite Sale

I'd love to buy one but wow they are freaky expensive. $500 off and maybe but $150 is enough to buy a decent heavy duty singer and I'd have enough left over to buy a good solar panel or maybe a zodiac or maybe a new dodger....

Re: Sailrite Sale

er9 had it right. The Sailrite is to expensive. I bought a Singer 4452 and making a sail pack now with it. My wife and I had a great trip! We sailed from Antigua to the top of Florida and only had a top main sail seam come apart. The main was over due for a restitch. We are adding a AIS unit for our trip to Panama. Not one night in a marina for the seven month trip. 450 watts of solar, water maker, SSB etc. makes for a comfy stay on the hook or on passage.
