A Yanmar Source

W. W. Williams

I just got some oil filters, an intake element, and some Yanmar 15w-40 oil from their location in Savannah, GA. I couldn't find places online that would ship down here, the websites have some thing about shipping outside of "Yanmar Areas".

Anyway just wanted to share, I dont work for them or have any reason to promote them, other than they had what I needed at a fair price....

yanmar oil filter - $6
yanmar intake element - $17
1gal Yanmar oil - $19

I think they have a lot of other stuff as well, and the gentleman said they will ship to just about anywhere.

Re: A Yanmar Source

Austin, Yanmar dealers are apparently prohibited by the terms of their franchise from advertising or shipping goods outside of their specific franchise area. The topic has been discussed online before, and the bottom line is, that's the terms of their franchise and that's what they agreed to follow when they bought into it. Yanmar can pull their franchise for violations like that.

Re: A Yanmar Source

Yeah, the last time I posted a post like this, I lost my source. I'd forgotten that I'd gotten permission after Hurricane Ike to order outside of our area. I got shut down, AND treated like cr@p from the Louisiana Distributor.

Not funny: I need some impellers and gaskets. The DISTRIBUTOR didn't have gaskets in stock (how does THAT happen), and placed the entire order from Yanmar to be shipped direct. However, you have to buy TEN gaskets. Anyone need a raw water impeller gasket? They said they did that to keep from charging me for 2 shipping charges. Mighty nice of them not to charge me because they didn't have a common item in stock.

At some point we will end up repowering. Yanmar, it ain't gonna be.

No need to use Yanmar oil. They don't have any wells yet. Get a good quality HD oil like Shell Rotella and save. Do use their filters though.
