Thumbs up The Care and Feeding of Sailing Crew

By Lin and Larry Pardey.

OK just finished it reading it to the wife (we commute together and it makes the time on the freeway pass faster).

My recommendation is YES! Two Thumbs up! Good easy ready with a ton of what-if information about everything from cooking recipies to laundry, showers, provisioning, personal health and even feminine hygene...

They do adopt a minimalist approach to living aboard, which while I understand I will not be adopting myself. But they very clearly describe why they make the decisions they do with both the pro's and con's.

Favorite part: Reading about Lin buying really expensive tomatoes and not telling Larry the price, and then getting the same amount again a departure gift from friends on shore, and then reading all the tomatoe recipies for the first 4 weeks meals......
