Gord,
There was a website that listed anchorages in the gulf coast of Florida, it had GS locations and a map of them, with descriptions and ratings. I can't find it now no matter what i do, would you have that handy??

I will happily second lannen's suggestion of Active Captain. We've been using it all up and down the E. Coast the last six months. I'm on it just about daily. Current information on anchorages, marinas, local knowledge. Gives ratings, reviews and pretty good details. By the way, regarding internet access, I've gotten good connections pretty much all the way with one of those cellular air cards. Up to about 5 miles off shore without an external antenna.
